	Chioma Ezeh	Affordances of Immersive Virtual Learning Environments for ELLs' Fluency Development	This presenter will share an ongoing research on the affordances of immersive virtual environments in oral language fluency tasks for English learners’ engagement. The focus of the research is on how learners use language in a Minecraft field trip and what opportunities they have for engagement in oral fluency tasks.

The presenter, Chioma Ezeh, currently pursues a Master's degree in English Language Learners at Washington State University. Her interests include engaging in intensive research around individualized instruction including enhancing second language acquisition and culture learning with technology use and pedagogical strategies that promote academic achievements of linguistically and culturally diverse learners in the classroom. She is passionate about managing diversity in the classroom.

Abir Elshaban (abirelshaban@yahoo.com)

Abir El Shaban is a PhD candidate in the Language, Literacy, and Technology Program, College of Education at Washington State University. Her research interest include, but not limited to, teacher development, second language acquisition and intercultural studies. She coaches teachers to infuse effective strategies using education technology to support content and language objectives. El Shaban thrives to engage students in technology-enhanced language learning environments.

Ellen Dougherty - Moderator (doughertyellem@gmail.com)

Ellen Dougherty is a doctoral candidate in TESOL, cognate technology, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She holds an MA in Leadership from McGill University. She has over 25 years experience with second language learners both as an educator and administrator in North America and the Middle East.
